What a insult to our Flag:(

This shows the gross disrespect and insult to the Indian National flag by this so called "spiritual leader" and self proclaimed "GOD" Mataji Nirmala Devi. This disrespect to our country's flag shows that she has definately no respect or love for the country that gave her so much and her husband who was an IAS officer and chief of the SCI (he is seated next to her in the pics). Such a shame.
I do urge and plead with all Indians who deeply love their country to share the photos to as many people as possible so that it does catch the eye of someone higher up in the Indian Govt who can really take some action against this cult.

Art and Design - The Difference

Is Art and Design are different? Can I call this piece of work as art or design? Is every design is an art? Like this you can hear and see people raise questions about art and design. There is a difficulty in discussing this in that I don't think graphic design is artless, but it isn't Art. The two terms are blurred enough that argument could go on for quite some time... People get confused with the two terms unnecessarily because, they aren't the same. Ok then what is the difference between an art and a deign work. The differences between art and design lie mainly on purposes, criteria, judgment, making method last but not least the audiences even different. Design is more planned and executed whereas Art is more of a free flow of mind.

hey.. I didn't say that a Designer is not an artist or an Artist is not a Designer.

Design is objective, while Art is subjective. Design is a branch of visual communication in which it is vital that the meaning being communicated is established in the way that was intended at the receiving end. If a designer creates an illustration for a product it will have multiple thoughts of him and clients. If it doesn't interpret the idea it fails. If an artist makes a illustration and if it didn’t interpret the purpose or his or her imagination it can be still be an art. Its function is not open to analysis.

To be more defined Art just happens as an expression of an artist's imagination and Design is an artistic expression that has a predestined idea.Design often imposes working out the form or structure of something by creating plans. Making a Storyboard, What clients need? Color? Time? All this we need to think before step-up for a Design Work. Art is never planned. It is mostly the outburst of a mind in a particular situation and they concern with the creation of something stunning or noteworthy to expresses him or her.A designer gets into a work with a blank mind with stuff like content, client requirements in mind whereas The designer's responsibility is to foresee how the various aspects should come together as a whole thing and bring visual meaning, taste and technical skills to bear on the production of the job. To be more exact, the designer just arranges the mixture of elements. An Artist gets in to blank canvas with imagination of the start to end. Their only spirit is to bring an output of the sense and stimulus.Design is presented with the visual arrangement of useful and beneficial things whereas Art is presented with representations of things to wonder about and identify. Art and design seems related but nonetheless separate.thx for reading...luv u all

Abortion - its a matter of life…

Abortion has been a divisive issue for many years. Lot of opinions are there about abortions, either for or against for a long time. This is about taking of human life so it should be taken very serious. There are some points which I like to present about this.

The first thing which comes to my mind is that, No one has the right to take a life. According to medical science there is no life as there is no baby but an embryo but there is the potential to become a human and therefore it has got life. They just don’t make any difference between an embryo and a baby and they can’t accept it as it will end up killing a human life no matter what. Doesn’t the unborn child have rights?

In many countries killing a pregnant wife, will be charged by two murders. But women can have abortion and walk out of the clinic with any problem in many places. Isn’t it a crime, yes of course! I am not blaming all women who get into it. Some women are pushed into that situation either physclogically or through force.

Another issue is that because of this abortion there is a huge problem of low birthrate. Many families around the world stick two children mostly one child due to financial status.

Below is a survey conducted by by the polling organizations of Peter Hart and Neil Newhouse. Sept. 6-8, 2008.

“Which comes closest to your view on abortion: abortion should always be legal; should be legal most of the time; should be made illegal except in cases of rape, incest and to save the mother’s life; or abortion should be made illegal without any exceptions?”

Always Legal : 25%

Legal Most of the Time : 24%

Illegal With a Few Exceptions : 37%

Illegal Without Exceptions : 10%

Unsure : 4%

In most cases such as rape, unprotected sex, adoption comes to the mind. Instead of abortion they can give the baby to the needy. There are many families that are not blessed of a child and they can get a opportunity to take care of one. The love and happiness of those families will be completely lost if a woman makes the decision to have an abortion. All discarded children in the world be worthy of to be raised in home where they will get love, something that their organic parents can’t provide.

Getting an abortion for any reason would be really worse. It is a way for people to escape from their responsibilities. What do u say…???

Santa’s attire was traditionally green

Everyone knows that Santa’s outfit is traditionally red (red coat, red hat and so on). But this is in fact not true! Santa’s attire was traditionally green until coca-cola adopted Mr Clause as their Christmas time promotion. Then they naturally dressed Santa in red clothes rather than green ones to match their bottles and from that day it has stuck. And that is why Santa has a red coat.

Lets hav a look how the things got changed…:

In the 1930s the American soft drink giant Coca-Cola pumped large portions of dollars into making their drink more popular at Christmas time. They way the did this, through billboards and magazine adverts was by hijacking another icon of Christmas - Santa Claus himself.

St Nicholas, the charitable inhabitant of Northern Europe has lived under many aliases, the most familiar to us being Father Christmas and Santa Claus. As we all know the traditional colours of Christmas are red and green - holly and berries seen against the background of a snow scene. Santa was usually portrayed wearing green, purple, red or blue clothing as he delivered presents to the townsfolk. He usually wore fur, and he was portrayed as both large and small.

Coca Cola has achieved the notable achievement of altering the colour of Santa’s outfit, and also changing our perception of the old man. If we or our children were to draw a picture of Santa , he would conform to the ideal laid out on Coca Cola billboards from this era.

The colour of Santa’s garments was changed to red to align it more clearly with Coca Cola. A red, white and black can be all you need to go and buy a fizzy drink.

Does it matter what colour Santa’s - coat is? Absolutely not, but it does serve to illustrate the way that Ideas travel beyond the confines of our brains. Humans copy Ideas or instructions perpetually, and it should be easy to see that the Idea given an extra push will be copied even more than others. The myth goes that the massive Coca-Cola Christmas campaigns ensured that it was their Idea of Santa that was adopted by most of the western world, and his green outfit came to be phased out by everyone. This urban myth has become entrenched, and actually works out quite well for Coca-Cola. The myth places Coke at the heart of Christmas and at the heart of our culture, which only serves to fulfil its mythical status. Coca-Cola knew what they were doing. Their brand now becomes fused with Christmas every time we see a Santa. The Consequences of the company-s actions are the changing of an icon for their own purpose. We think we duplicate their advertisements not because we are slaves to corporate fashions, but because we know no different. The red genie cannot be put back in its Coke can, and the Christmas cards cannot be returned to sender.

Kuselan Movie Review - Friendship tale ! Watch with patience

Cast : Rajini, Pasupathy, Nayanthara, Meena, Sona, Vadivelu, Vijayakumar

Direction :( P Vasu

Music : G V Prakash

Production : K Balachander
Running Time : 2hrs 30min (approx)

Storyline : Balakrishna (a) Balu (Pashupathy) plays a poor barber who leads a wretched life in a village with wife Sridevi (Meena) and three children. His short term goal, however, is to renovate is old beauty saloon and in an attempt to revive it from downswing by applying for a bank loan. In the meantime, Ashok kumar (Rajinikanth) & his film crew comes to the village for a filmshooting. The whole village, including his family, rally around Balakrishna pursuing his favour to meet the star as the news of the childwood friendship between Balu and Ashok kumar spreads. Balu fears to meet Ashok Kumar thinking that he may not identify him. The multiple attempts of Balu, Vadivelu and livingston’s to meet the star forms the rest of the story.

Review : You can see a completely different Rajinikanth without his usual stunts and masala. Pashupathy excels with his flawless acting. With a bunch of characters for comic roles like Vadivelu, Santhanam, Livinston, Chinni jeyanth the movie gives a bad taste of humour. The main weakness is the screenplay where the first half drags a lot with lifeless scenes involving the villagers. Meena has done a okay job. For many of us who have been wondering a lot about Rajini’s political ambitions and his trips to the Himalayas, he answers us all with such vivacious dilouges which will silence us from anymore guesswork. I almost forgot about the presence of Nayanthara and Mamta Mohandas. Nayantara comes with a lot barely-there costumes and captured in multiple angles. Mamta Mohandas comes as asst director making no shades. The movie aften shifts from the main story which losens the script.

The only plus for the movie is the 20 min long climax where Rajini gives a sentimental speech and meets his childwood friend.

Camera work is quite convincing for the movie done by Arvind Krishna, but its ofen distracted by the low class CG Works done by Orcher Studios headed by Aishwaya Rajnikanth. GV Prakash has done a moderate job. Art work done by Thottatharani needs little life.

Not a great movie afterall except for the climax and rajni’s real life character.
